Sankar Kavirajan is a Kerala-trained Ayurvedic Marma therapist with more than 25 years of hands-on experience.

Born into a family with a longstanding connection to Ayurveda, he grew up with traditional knowledge as part of everyday life. He later trained and practised in Kerala before establishing his work in London.

His approach brings together traditional Kerala Ayurvedic massage, Marma therapy and Kalarippayattu-influenced therapeutic techniques, informed by a practical understanding of anatomy, physiology and musculoskeletal function.

Our team is trained by Sankar in traditional Kerala Ayurvedic techniques and the principles that shape our practice, with an emphasis on attentive touch, appropriate pressure and responsiveness to your comfort.

The team also includes a qualified sports therapist who brings his own professional qualifications and practical experience. His understanding of muscles, joints and movement complements our traditional approach and contributes to the rehabilitation support we offer.

Each practitioner works within their own training and qualifications, sharing a commitment to clear communication and thoughtful care.

Ayurveda has always been personal to us.

Sankar’s mother, Dr Lalitha Kavirajan, an Ayurvedic doctor in Kerala, became frustrated with the inconsistent quality of preparations available on the market. She established her own factory with a clear purpose: to know what went into each batch and have greater confidence in the products she used.

That commitment continues in our London practice. Our Ayurvedic oils and herbal preparations come from our family’s own factory—the same preparations we choose for our own family members.
